Advances in Economic Studies supports transparency, reproducibility, and responsible research data management as essential components of high-quality scholarly publishing. The journal encourages authors to make research data supporting their published findings accessible whenever appropriate and feasible.

Authors are encouraged to ensure that data underlying their research are accurate, well documented, and available to facilitate verification, replication, and further scholarly investigation, while respecting ethical, legal, and confidentiality obligations.

Data Availability Statement

Authors should include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript describing:

  • Where the research data supporting the study can be accessed
  • The repository name, DOI, accession number, or permanent URL, where applicable
  • Whether the data are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, or subject to access restrictions
  • Any ethical, legal, commercial, or confidentiality limitations affecting data sharing

Acceptable Data Sharing Options

  • Deposition of datasets in recognized public repositories
  • Data made available upon reasonable request to the corresponding author
  • Restricted access where required by privacy, confidentiality, legal, contractual, or institutional obligations

The journal encourages the use of trusted repositories that support long-term preservation, discoverability, and accessibility of research data.

Author Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all research data
  • Retain underlying data and supporting materials for a reasonable period following publication
  • Provide supporting data for editorial review if requested
  • Comply with applicable ethical standards, legal requirements, and institutional policies governing research data

Ethical and Confidential Data

Datasets containing confidential, proprietary, or personally identifiable information should be managed in accordance with applicable ethical standards, legal requirements, and institutional policies. Where public sharing is not possible, authors should clearly explain the reason within the Data Availability Statement.

Editorial Oversight

The Editorial Board may request clarification, supporting documentation, or access to underlying research data during the editorial process or after publication when necessary to verify research findings, address ethical concerns, or maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
