The Advances in Economic Studies is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to evaluate originality and similarity prior to peer review. Authors are expected to ensure that their submissions are entirely original and that all sources are appropriately acknowledged and cited.
Author Responsibility
Authors must confirm that their submitted work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal. Proper acknowledgment of the work, data, ideas, and publications of others is mandatory.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes the unauthorized use of ideas, text, data, tables, figures, charts, images, or other intellectual content without appropriate citation or permission. It also includes self-plagiarism, where authors reuse substantial portions of their previously published work without proper disclosure or citation.
Citation and Attribution
All information, concepts, and materials obtained from other sources must be properly cited. Direct quotations should be clearly identified using quotation marks or appropriate formatting and accompanied by complete references.
Self-Plagiarism and Prior Publication
Authors must disclose any reuse of content from theses, dissertations, conference papers, working papers, preprints, or previously published articles. Appropriate citations and transparency regarding prior dissemination are required.
Figures, Tables, and Illustrations
Any reproduction or adaptation of figures, tables, graphs, charts, or other visual materials from previously published sources must include proper attribution and, where required, documented permission from the copyright holder.
Disclosure Requirements
Authors must disclose any substantial overlap between the submitted manuscript and previously published or simultaneously submitted work in the cover letter provided during submission.
Editorial Action
Suspected cases of plagiarism or other forms of publication misconduct will be investigated by the Editorial Board in accordance with established publication ethics guidelines. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, the journal may reject the manuscript, request corrections, retract published articles, or notify the authors' affiliated institutions when appropriate.
Publication Ethics
The journal follows internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and supports the principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
By submitting a manuscript to the Advances in Economic Studies, authors agree to comply with this plagiarism policy and uphold the principles of ethical scholarly publishing.
